Tooths (oppsss words) of Wisdom 😝😂😜
Got my tooth extracted yesterday.. 😨😥😣
Though I am a Doc, Going to a dentist scares me..🙈😥😰
Now you may wonder what the……. in the world M I cribbing about a tooth for??!! 😯😭😭
My first wisdom tooth..😭😫😫
I know It’s not a biguhhhh deal but I had it erupting now… sooooo late..😒
OK, so the history goes such that… 👇👇
It started erupting at the beginning of this year, having on and off pain, I ignored it thinking it’s just the growth spurt, but with the chewing becoming more and more problematic and painful more so since there wasn’t any supporting tooth beneath, the friction between the tooth and the cheek resulted in traumatic ulcers on and off.. ⚡
I Was totally fed up with popping in antibiotics and pain killers, So decided to get it done with 😟
Now siting at home nursing a swollen jaw, surviving on bland liquids I feel like a patient.. All pasty faced Popoye like.😪😪
Immediate Post Op I had transient diplopia ( double vision) 👭🙈and dizziness 🌀 due to the anaesthesia.💉😨
Now I realised how my patients who complain of diplopia actually feel. 😒
So everything is like a learning process, a lesson in disguise or in plain simple words, I am trying to find positivity in the negative things, atleast I like to think of it that way 📝 ( Neethu and her Gyaans you might think 😰)
Now I am sure, when a patient comes to me and I am busy examining his/her diplopia, I would know exactly how they feel.
So I guess I will be more patient doing their Hess and Diplopia chartings. 📈📉
Its like a lesson to self,
Rather a lesson well learnt.. 👧
In short Wisdom gained 💁 with the loss of a Wisdom tooth..;)
Pssst: Thoughts to continue over in the next post… 😛
Until then I keep smiling minus my Wisdom Tooth.. 😄
Thank God it’s not my Incisors.. (Just imagine 😨 Noooooooooooo that’s like a total disaster🙈🙈🙈)

Aaargh!! Poor Neethu! Love the post with its drawings and all! Rest up. Ice cream and all things soft. Enjoy and be spoilt at home. Ha ha! I learnt a new medical term “Diplopia” – I don’t get double vision but I “levitate” or at least I think I do…free all time “high” without Pethidine or morphine after. Just post op! Take care and do post away your boredom as I can then laugh with you and chase your post wisdom tooth extraction blues away😄😄😛😚😚

oh! neethu you put me in trouble. I am a terrible translater. *sigh*
That proverb means, you have to experience the fever and headache to know the pain.
I think I have done a pretty good job. *smile*

haha – nicely told Neethu – you made me smile and I hope you are able to smile again very soon. About a year ago my son had seven (yes 7!) wisdom teeth removed. The dentist said it was not too uncommon for people to have more than 4… anyway, I have noticed no diminishment of his wisdom since; so I think you will recover fully haha 😀 Kind regards, Andy

Here I am in the same situation. I think I need to run to the dentist. I don’t have any plan to remove it. 😦 😦 😦 But its painful. Colgate says they will protect my smile but they don’t, that’s not fair.

Ouch! That must have hurt. When I have a toothache, I soaked a Lipton teabag in some warm water, gently squeeze out the water and then just bite that freaking tea bag…LOL. Works every time! (⌒▽⌒)☆

Very cute message. As a doctor, I can relate. There is a big difference between academic knowledge and clinical experience. Sometimes life’s lessons from the patient’s perspective helps us become better doctors. Hoping your swelling reduces quickly and a pretty smile returns to your face.
